On March 12, Small Business Majority's Colorado Director, Lindsey Vigoda, testified before the Colorado House Health and Human Services Committee in support of HB 24-1223. If passed, this proposal would strengthen and streamline the eligibility process for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP), reducing administrative burdens for working families and stabilizing the childcare industry in Colorado.

Today, Small Business Majority Colorado Director Lindsey Vigoda testified before the Colorado House Business Affairs and Labor Committee in support of House Bill 24-1004, legislation concerning justice-impacted individuals’ ability to receive authorization to work in state-regulated occupations. This is a significant proposal that will help support aspiring entrepreneurs and workers with previous criminal records, as they start and work at small businesses, increasing their economic opportunities and independence. 

On February 8, Small Business Majority sent a letter to President Biden urging him to underscore the importance of continued investments in America's small business during his State of the Union Address.

Today, Public Policy Director, Awesta Sarkash, submitted a letter of support to the Virginia House Committee on Appropriations in support of HB 419, which would close the gap on childcare investments in the state. Prioritizing childcare, in all its forms, is an investment that will have greater returns for Virginians and small businesses alike. 

On January 24, Small Business Majority's Georgia Director and National Women's Entrepreneurship Director, Rachel Shanklin, testified before the Senate Health and Human Services Committee in support of the Lowering Prescription Drug Costs for Patients Act. 

On December 18, Small Business Majority CEO and Founder John Arensmeyer provided feedback on the proposed rule to update the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) regulations on unfair or deceptive practices relating to fees for goods and services.

On November 1, Small Business Majority sent a letter to Majority Leader Schumer, Minority Leader McConnell, Chair Murray and Ranking Member Collins urging them to include funding for the childcare industry to any supplemental funding package considered by the Senate Appropriations Committee.
