Small Business Majority writes in support of Assembly Bill 1993

Small Business Majority wrote to Assemblymember Buffy Wicks in support of AB 1993, legislation that would enact a statewide COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all businesses in California and their employees and independent contractors to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. AB 1993 would remove the onus from entrepreneurs of enforcing their own public health protocols in the workplace, thus allowing them to focus on getting back to work at full capacity.

For Rosie Arias, her mission is simple. She wants to keep the world warm one baby at a time.

Whimsical Charm, based out of Long Beach, Calif., was incorporated in 2011 after Rosie’s close friends began having children and she couldn’t find a blanket that was unique and different to gift them. This inspired her to use her fashion degree and sewing skills to make an easily-maintained, practical blanket that looked nice.

California lawmakers are weighing a proposal to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test for customers at consumer-facing businesses and to similarly require employers to mandate vaccinations or negative COVID-19 tests for employees. New opinion polling from Small Business Majority reveals that small businesses in California are supportive of proposals to mandate vaccinations and testing at places of business to help ensure local economies can operate safely, amid setbacks from the current surge in COVID-19 cases.
