Small Business Majority testifies at public hearing on the Colorado Option's small group market

On July 6, Small Business Majority's Colorado Director Lindsey Vigoda testified before the Colorado Division of Insurance to provide comments on the Colorado Option’s small group market premium reductions to ensure that health insurance carriers and hospitals are making all efforts to lower healthcare costs. This will greatly benefit Coloradans and small businesses and make healthcare more affordable for all.

Small businesses struggle with the ever-increasing cost of materials and shipping and recuriting and retaining a skilled and reliable workforce.

Jeff Rogoff is the owner of Sazza Restaurant. Prior to starting his own business in 2006, he held various positions in the hospitality industry. Entrepreneurship was a way for him to provide for his family and make his own hours. Now, 17 years later, Jeff and his family are working together to keep operations running.

On April 25, Small Business Majority's Colorado Director Lindsey Vigoda testified before the Colorado House Public & Behavioral Health & Human Services Committee on HB 23-1303, legislation that includes critical protections for Coloradans and small businesses in the event of an insurance company failure, which would severely impact their ability to access affordable healthcare.

On March 27, Small Business Majority's Colorado Director Lindsey Vigoda submitted testimony to the Colorado House Finance Committee on HB 23-1112, legislation that would expand the state-level Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC) for working Coloradans.
