On February 16, Small Business Majority's Colorado Director Lindsey Vigoda testified before the House Business Affairs and Labor Committee on reducing costly fees associated with business registrations for aspiring and current Colorado entrepreneurs. Reducing or waiving business-related fees will remove just one of the many financial barriers on entrepreneurs who are scrambling to keep their businesses afloat.

Colorado food truck faces staffing crisis despite record sales

Small Business Majority network member testifies to simplify regulations on family child care homes

Small Business Majority network member Stacey Carpenter, Owner of Barnyard Buddies Family Childcare, testified before the Colorado House Public & Behavioral Health and Human Services Committee in support of HB 21-1222, which would require all family child care homes (FCCH) to be classified as residences for purposes of licensure and local regulations, including zoning, land use development, fire and life safety, and building codes.

Small Business Majority supports lowering retainage caps in Colorado

Small Business Majority submitted testimony to the Colorado Senate Business Labor & Technology Committee in suport of House Bill 21-1167, which would cap retainage for all public and private entities at 5% and allow small construction and subcontract firms to be more competitive against larger firms.
