The COVID-19 pandemic completely altered consumer behavior and how entrepreneurs operate their businesses in order to successfully reach customers. In our latest survey on small business digital transformation in the wake of the pandemic, we explored various opportunities, challenges and concerns surrounding how they use digital accounting software and digital point of sale systems to manage their business’ finances. 

Small Business Majority files amicus brief in Moore v. U.S.

On October 23, Small Business Majority, alongside Main Street Alliance and other small business advocates, filed an amicus brief in Moore v. U.S. urging the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold the Mandatory Repatriation Tax (MRT) previously enacted by Congress. The brief outlines the importance of a stable and predictable federal tax structure to small business growth and competition and how efforts to undo federal tax provisions like the MRT will cause uncertainty for entrepreneurs.

Small Business Speaks: Two Days in Washington with Small Business Majority

On September 26 and 27, Small Business Majority hosted an advocacy fly-in event, “Small Business Speaks: Two Days in Washington with Small Business Majority.” Nearly 30 entrepreneurs from the organization’s national and state Small Business Councils attended the event to build community and ensure that federal policymakers heard the true voice of small business.
