Over 200 organizations and small businesses call on Congress to extend the ACA’s enhanced premium tax credits
On September 2, Small Business Majority, alongside more than 200 partner organizations and small businesses, sent a letter to House and Senate leadership urging Congress to take immediate action to extend the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) enhanced premium tax credits, which are set to expire at the end of this year. The enhancements made to the premium tax credit by Congress in 2021, and later extended in 2022, have expanded affordability and coverage options for the millions of small business owners and self-employed individuals who enroll in healthcare coverage through the Marketplace each year. A failure to extend the enhanced premium tax credits will result in skyrocketing premiums that will force millions of Americans and entrepreneurs off of healthcare coverage.
