With the Affordable Care Act’s enhanced premium tax credits set to expire, small business owners are raising awareness about their importance in accessing affordable healthcare and urging for their extension. This week, National Small Business Council member Mindelyn Anderson joined a press call hosted by the Democratic Women’s Caucus to share how the credit helps her manage her $1,784.82 monthly premium with a $1,070 credit. Without this tax credit, her health insurance costs could increase significantly, placing added strain on her business and family.

Thank you, Mindelyn, for your advocacy, and special thanks to House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA), Rep. Emilia Sykes (D-OH), Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-MI) and Rep. Jill Tokuda (D-HI) for working to ensure small business owners have the healthcare they need to thrive.
