On August 7, the Small Business Tax Reform Coalition (SBTRC)—a joint initiative of Small Business Majority and Main Street Alliance—submitted a statement for the record in response to a recent U.S. House Ways & Means Committee hearing on the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act. The statement details the bill’s harmful impact on the small business community, from neglecting to implement bottom-up tax reforms that support entrepreneurs to allowing the ACA’s enhanced premium tax credits to expire, jeopardizing affordable healthcare coverage for millions of small business owners and employees each year.
