Supreme Court hears oral arguments in major tariff case as Senate votes to nullify global duties

Mike BreyOn November 5, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Learning Resources v. Trump, the case challenging the administration’s authority to impose broad global tariffs under the International Economic Emergency Powers Act (IEEPA). On the morning of the oral arguments, Small Business Majority National Small Business Council member Mike Brey attended a press conference to urge the Supreme Court to stand up for small businesses by striking down the tariffs implemented under IEEPA.

This DC entrepreneur makes tutoring a safe, supportive space for all learners

Inspired by his dream to change the world for the better, Daniel Ryave joined the Peace Corps at 22 years old as a volunteer teacher. While in Togo, West Africa, teaching high school  English as a second language, he fell in love with empowering the next generation and building connections through education. 

“[It] really gave me the desire to keep working one-on-one and making those meaningful connections with people,” Daniel said.
