On August 8, Small Business Majority Founder and CEO John Arensmeyer submitted written testimony to the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Policy outlining how non-compete agreements hinder small business development and growth. Small Business Majority stands in full support of the FTC’s final rule to ban non-compete agreements and our research has found that 46% of small business owners said that they have been subject to a non-compete agreement that prevented them from starting or growing a business.
