On February 26, Small Business Majority submitted written testimony to the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services encouraging the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) to prioritize the needs of small businesses during the roll out of the new Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirement, which went into effect on January 1, 2024.

On February 16, Small Business Majority Founder and CEO John Arensmeyer provided feedback on the proposed rule to rescind the Department of Labor's (DOL's) 2018 Association Health Plan Rule. We applaud DOL for its proposal, in collaboration with the Biden-Harris Administration, to rescind the previous Administration’s ‘Association Health Plan’ Rule, in order to address rising healthcare costs for America’s small businesses and entrepreneurs. 

On January 31, Small Business Majority Founder and CEO John Arensmeyer submitted a Request for Information response to the bicameral, bipartisan Congressional working group exploring actions to expand access to paid leave for all Americans. Our response includes detailed information about how access to paid family and medical leave impacts small businesses nationwide and our comments on the proposal of establishing a federal paid family and medical leave program.

On December 20, Small Business Majority joined the American Sustainable Business Network, Businesses for Conservation and Climate Action, Main Street Alliance and the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce in filing an amicus brief before the United States Supreme Court. The brief argues that efforts to enable any business to circumvent regulatory statute of limitations would create uncertainty and confusion for businesses seeking to remain in compliance with the law.
