Owner of St. Louis-based Management Services FCIG LLC selected to receive Small Business Advocate Award for work on clean energy and healthcare

St. Louis, Mo.—National small business advocacy group Small Business Majority has selected Keith Crawford, owner of Management Services FCIG LLC in St. Louis, to receive its inaugural regional Small Business Advocate Award for speaking up on issues that matter to small businesses, including clean energy and healthcare.

Crawford's business offers management services to commerce, industry and government. He received the award for his work advocating for small business issues through actions like traveling to Washington, D.C. to meet with lawmakers and writing letters to the editor.

"Small Business Majority works with small business owners across the country to help them get involved in the public policy process," said Mary Timmel, Missouri Outreach Manager for Small Business Majority. "This year, we're issuing our first annual Small Business Advocate Awards to recognize local leaders who have gone above and beyond in their role as advocates for the small business community. Keith Crawford has been a powerful voice for small businesses on issues including clean energy and healthcare."

Small businesses are responsible for keeping our communities vibrant and strengthening our economy. As our nation's primary job creators, it's important that their voices are being heard at the public policy table and in the media. Since its founding in 2005, Small Business Majority has helped hundreds of passionate small business owners speak up and impact policy on key small business issues like healthcare, access to capital, tax reform, clean energy and more.

"Small business owners know exactly what small businesses need to be successful," said Timmel. "It's crucial that lawmakers and the media hear directly from small business owners about what works and what doesn't for the small business community. This award is about honoring small business owners who are dedicated to fighting for policies that keep small businesses thriving."

The award will be presented in person later this week at Crawford's business.
