WHAT: Small Business Majority, in partnership with Accion in Chicago, will host a free seminar in Chicago on December 5 at 6:00pm CST for women small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. This event will include an interactive presentation and discussion with experts as well as local business owners. Additionally, Small Business Majority and Accion will introduce SimpleGrowth, a new, free lending tool that easily connects Chicago businesses to local financing.

Topics of discussion will include:

  • An overview of women's entrepreneurship in the United States.

  • Access to capital and safe funding options, including the new SimpleGrowth tool.

  • The “Five C’s” of credit.

  • Helpful tools and resources for Chicago entrepreneurs.
