Are you a small business owner that operates in Sacramento County? Do you source your products locally or from mission-driven producers? Did you apply to participate in the Sacramento Great Plates Program? If so, you may be eligible to apply for one of two new grant programs for Sacramento small businesses.

Please join Small Business Majority, California Capital FDC and Women's Business Center and Sacramento Valley SBDC to learn about two new grant programs available to Sacramento small businesses. The Food Justice Program is a $1 million grant program for small business owners who have assisted in combatting food insecurity. While, Sac4Small Biz is a $7.5 million grant program available to small business and nonprofit organizations. Eligible applicants may qualify for grants of up to $10,000 each.

Topics of discussion include:

  • Overview of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Food Justice and Sac4SmallBiz Grant Programs
  • Overview of the small business eligibility requirements you need to know before you apply
  • Overview of other grant programs, like the Paid Family Leave Small Business Grant
  • How to find free and low-cost resources in your community

A question and answer period will be provided.

Please note: The deadline to apply to the Food Justice Program is on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 4:00pm (PDT), and for the Sac 4 Small Biz Program it is on August 31, 2022.
