University of California-Berkeley, Asset Funders Network and Small Business Majority invite you to learn about the Small Business Vulnerability Mapping Project, a research project to identify concentrations of POC small businesses which are at risk of closing.
By overlaying small business ownership data with geographic data of the Bay Area, UCBerkeley will produce two interactive maps to be posted on the Urban DisplacementProject website. The University of California-Berkeley will also produce a policy brief describing trends and outlining potential policy approaches to our findings to share with partners in the project.
The overall goal of the Small Business Vulnerability Mapping Project is to help funders, policy advocates and local & regional governments better understand the longer-term policies and best practices that address the systemic barriers faced by POC led small business owners to help them thrive.
