Georgia has the opportunity to transform itself by strengthening policies that address racial inequality, narrow the gap between rich and poor, and raise the economic status of historically marginalized communities. Your organization is invited to participate in a policy roundtable on racial equity and small business recovery hosted by Small Business Majority.

The presentation will focus on broad policies for an equitable and sustainable small business recovery, with a particular focus on supporting self-employed individuals and businesses with fewer than 25 employees.

Policies and topics to be discussed:

  • Strengthen workplace benefit policies that enhance access job security and economic wellness for small business owners and their employees, such as healthcare, paid leave, savings and retirement
  • Enhance economic development policies to also support small businesses
  • Ensure equitable access to fair banking and capital for people of color, women, immigrants and rural owners
  • Policy agenda for Georgia's Entrepreneurs
  • Start Us Up Coalition
