Workshop Description: You CEO – Readying Yourself for Entrepreneurship

Overview:

The You CEO workshop is designed to help New Moms participants recognize how their entrepreneurial experiences translate into valuable job skills, making them more competitive in the workforce. By identifying past small business ventures and understanding their executive skills, participants will develop a CEO Resume that highlights their strengths and transferable skills.

The workshop also explores pay disparities and how entrepreneurship serves as a wealth-building tool. A key exercise, My Sweet Life, helps participants visualize the lifestyle they want and develop a plan to achieve it.

Topics Covered:

  • Introductions & Business Experience – Understanding if they’ve ever had a business or side hustle.
  • Employment & Pay Disparities – Discussing wage gaps and their impact.
  • Entrepreneurship as a Wealth-Building Tool – Exploring how business ownership and homeownership contribute to financial stability.
  • Creating a “Sweet Life” – Using the My Sweet Life worksheet to map out personal and financial goals.
  • Executive Skills Exploration – Identifying key strengths that support both employment and entrepreneurship.
  • Connecting Strengths to Entrepreneurship – Understanding how personal and professional skills apply to business ownership.
  • Developing a CEO Resume – Completing a worksheet to build a resume that reflects their entrepreneurial experiences.
  • Enhancing Their Current Resume – Reviewing their existing resume and incorporating newly identified strengths.
