ICYMI: In an effort to counteract the acute economic impacts of COVID-19 on small business owners, Congress passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) which sets aside $370 billion to spur transportation projects across the country. Notably, 10% of federal dollars are earmarked for socially and economically disadvantaged government contractors.

Please join Small Business Majority, Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) West, Norcal PTAC, the Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce, and the SBA Regional Georgia Office for a timely, national discussion where we will outline how women small business owners from across the country can prepare to apply for federal, state and local contracting opportunities. Our resource partners will identify how women small business owners will benefit from low-cost counseling and mentoring, assisting with access to capital, contracts and grants, and supporting job creation and retention.

Topics of discussion include:

  • How to get connected to local organizations that provide low-cost technical assistance to Women and Minority Business Enterprises (WMBEs)
  • Identifying the various certification programs
  • Determining which certification programs are right for you

Q&A with our content experts will directly follow the discussion.
