This virtual briefing will be hosted by the Senate Committee on Finance, Small Business Majority, Main Street Alliance, and Americans for Tax Fairness to learn about the small business perspective regarding President Biden’s American Jobs and Families Plans. The event will also feature remarks from small business owners around the country on proposed tax reforms.

For too long, our nation’s tax system has benefitted the wealthiest Americans and large multinational corporations at the expense of small business owners, their employees, and independent contractors.

Recent polling shows that more than 3 in 4 (76%) small businesses support the provision in the American Jobs Plan that would establish a 15% minimum tax on profits that the largest corporations report to their investors, and 7 in 10 support setting a minimum tax rate of 21% on corporate offshore profits.

With 85% of small business owners believing that the tax code unfairly benefits large corporations, now is an important time to level the playing field for small businesses and restore our economy from the bottom up.
