Join us for a panel of experts discussing access to funding from traditional outlets such as banks and loans along with alternative funding opportunities locally and within the region. This presentation includes navigating the funding landscape focusing on microloans, crowdfunding, and reputable online lenders. We also will go over traditional forms of financing such as credit unions, community banks and SBA-backed loans as well as alternative funding options.

Tim Gaudette 
From our Denver office, Tim Gaudette directs Small Business Majority's outreach and development efforts in Colorado and other western states. Tim works to build and maintain relationships with small business owners, organizations and foundations. Before joining Small Business Majority, Tim worked at a small business in Denver and his background includes significant finance and investment-related work in the regulatory, research and sales areas in Denver, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. Tim also served as chairman and board member for the all-volunteer board of the Denver Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (DGLCC).

In 2016, Tim was honored as Business Person of the Year at the inaugural Power Gala, a joint awards event with Outfront Magazine and the DGLCC. This year, Tim was appointed by the Colorado Insurance Commissioner to the Consumer Insurance Council, where he provides insight on behalf of the small business community on health insurance issues in the state. Tim is a member of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Leadership Denver class of 2009.

Anita Cameron
Anita is the Director of Business Lending for the Northwest Council of Governments Revolving Loan Fund. The Northwest Loan Fund (NLF) offers business loans that will bring value to the local economy in the 9 Northwest counties we serve: Eagle, Garfield, Grand, Jackson, Moffat, Pitkin, Rio Blanco, Routt, and Summit.

Over the past 2 years, the Northwest Loan Fund has loaned over $1,036,000 to 19 local businesses and entrepreneurs creating 46 jobs in our Northwest Territory.

Associated Governments of Northwest Colorado
The Associated Governments of Northwest Colorado (AGNC) is a council of governments representing cities and counties in northwest Colorado including the counties of Mesa, Garfield, Rio Blanco, Moffat and Routt and will speak about the Enterprise Zone of Northwest Colorado.

The Enterprise Zone program was established by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) to provide tax credits to businesses that locate to and/or expand in designated economically distressed parts of the state.

AGNC serves as the administrator for the Northwest Enterprise Zone, which includes Clear Creek, Garfield, Gilpin, Grand, Jackson, Moffat, Rio Blanco, and Routt Counties.
