Mindelyn Anderson, PhD is Founder of Mirror Group, an evaluation, learning and strategy consulting firm that makes data and information meaningful, accessible and actionable. She founded the company in 2017 and has since grown Mirror Group into a formidable partner supporting foundations, nonprofits, and cross-sector initiatives with government, industry and community at the table.

Notably, Mindelyn increased annual revenue from $5k to $1.5 million as Mirror Group served more than 60 clients across 16 states and DC, and a diverse range of impact areas including health systems, economic development, environmental justice, education, arts and culture. Prior to becoming CEO in 2024, Mindelyn served as Principal Consultant where she cast the MG vision that data is the currency of the 21st Century and set the MG consulting posture as firm yet loving partners to serve as a mirror to reflect where we are (evaluation), what is possible (learning), and how we can get there (strategy) leveraging data for equitable transformation.

Mindelyn’s commitment to advance culturally responsive and racially equitable practice includes speaking and facilitation engagements with boards and executives, thought leadership to influence evaluation professionals, and advisory roles to shape organizations’ data infrastructure. She serves on the board of if a Foundation of Radical Possibility and as Past-Chair of the Independent Consulting TIG of the American Evaluation Association.

Before Mirror Group, Professor Anderson served as Program Director of the Masters of Science in Measurement and Evaluation at American University, Honors Faculty in Residence and Assistant Professor of Sociology and African American Studies at Northeastern University, and Marilyn Yarbrough Fellow at Kenyon College. Dr. Mindelyn Anderson, a California Bay Area native, resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband (the other Dr. Anderson), three daughters and a son. You can find her out and about in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area serving community organizations dear to her including Zion Church, John Eaton Elementary School, Hardy Middle School and Thirty Mighty Men Ministries.
