Small Business Majority releases opinion polling showing small business owners strongly support eliminating subsidies to oil and gas companies, even if it means an increase in gas prices

March 29, 2012: Small business owners strongly support ending government subsidies to gas and oil companies, with 73 percent agreeing tax breaks for oil and gas companies should be eliminated and 60 percent supporting the idea even if it means a small increase in gas prices, according to opinion polling released today by Small Business Majority.

Small business owners say overturning healthcare law would be disastrous for small businesses; attorney specializing in US Constitution says law is constitutional

March 21, 2012: Small businesses are being helped in myriad ways by the healthcare reform law, the Affordable Care Act, and would be severely impacted if it were to be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court, said small business owners on a press call Wednesday, days before the high court is expected to hear arguments in the lawsuit aimed at tearing down the 2-year-old law.

Data released Wednesday by ADP shows the country's smallest businesses,‰ those with 1-49 employees, created half of all new jobs in the month of February, while small businesses overall accounted for a whopping 90 percent of all new jobs last month. Conversely, large businesses created only 10 percent of new jobs, illustrating that small businesses are indeed the country's primary job creators and remain the backbone of the American economy.
