Statement by John Arensmeyer, CEO, Small Business Majority:

Senators put politics over the good of American small businesses today when they failed to pass the White House's jobs bill. We urge legislators to work out their differences and get a version of this bill passed immediately.

Something must be done now to stimulate our flagging economy, put people back to work and give small businesses the help they need to hire and grow. While the jobs plan isn't a cure-all for our financial woes, it's a significant move in the right direction.
