On April 25, Small Business Majority's Colorado Director Lindsey Vigoda testified before the Colorado House Public & Behavioral Health & Human Services Committee on HB 23-1303, legislation that includes critical protections for Coloradans and small businesses in the event of an insurance company failure, which would severely impact their ability to access affordable healthcare.

Today, Public Policy Director, Awesta Sarkash, submitted written testimony in favor of SB 499, Clean Slate Texas, to the Texas Senate Committee on Criminal Justice. The legislation would strengthen our economy, expand the talent poll for small businesses, and make Texas a better place to live and work. 

Today, Small Business Majority sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) urging the agency to enact its proposed rule to ban non-compete agreements. This letter is accompanied by personal testimony from small business owners impacted by non-compete agreements. 

As of April 13, more than 400 small business owners and small business organizations have signed onto a letter urging the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to enact its proposed rule to ban non-compete agreements. On April 19, lead partner organizations Small Business Majority, American Sustainable Business Network, Main Street Alliance, Pacific Community Ventures, and Right to Start will submit a final letter to the FTC in response to its comment period.
