What

With Gov. Gavin Newsom's commitment to expanding paid family leave, small and large companies are creating policies that are beneficial to both their employees and their companies. Please join us for a joint Education & Workforce Development and Government & Fiscal Affairs Council roundtable to discuss and provide input on what California lawmakers are choosing to do about paid family leave including the possibility of expanding the leave to six months.

Small Business Majority is excited to have a seat at the table on Gov. Newsom's Paid Family Leave Task Force, which was convened to strategize ways to structure and pay for the expanded leave and examine California's Paid Family Leave program. We will be joined by David Rattray, Executive Vice President at The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Sharon Terman, Senior Staff Attorney at Legal Aid at Work, all of whom sit on the Governor's task force. Early on in the policy process, the Chamber engaged in a business roundtable with Los Angeles City Council members Nury Martinez and David Ryu, who introduced the language.

Come be a part of this timely conversation and have a voice as we draft a holistic policy that balances the needs of all stakeholders to ensure a thriving economy.
