Small Business Majority Selects Colorado Small Business Owner for Annual Regional Small Business Advocate Award
Owner of Colorado Springs-based business Color Me Mine selected to receive Small Business Advocate Award for work on taxes and minimum wage
Colorado Springs, Colo.—National small business advocacy group Small Business Majority has selected Tracy duCharme, the owner of Color Me Mine in Colorado Springs, to receive its inaugural regional Small Business Advocate Award for speaking up on issues that matter to small businesses, including taxes and raising the minimum wage.
DuCharme's business is a paint-your-own pottery studio. She received the award for her work advocating for small business issues through actions like writing letters to the editor and traveling to Washington, D.C. to meet with small business leaders and policymakers as part of Small Business Majority's annual Small Business Leadership Summit.
"Small Business Majority works with small business owners across the country to help them get involved in the public policy process," said Tim Gaudette, Small Business Majority's Colorado Outreach Manager. "This year, we're issuing our first annual Small Business Advocate Awards to recognize local leaders who have gone above and beyond in their role as advocates for the small business community. Tracy duCharme has been a powerful voice for small businesses on issues including taxes and raising the minimum wage."
