Following up on his participation at the March 5 White House Summit on Health Reform, John Arensmeyer will be attending the regional forum on health reform in Los Angeles on Monday, April 6.

Arensmeyer is CEO of Small Business Majority, a leading national advocacy group for small business on health reform. He was invited to the exclusive regional event to give voice to the 27 million small business owners and self-employed people for whom the high cost of health insurance is issue No. 1.

America relies on its entrepreneurs to provide 79 percent of new jobs, and that's even more important as the country struggles to pull out of a recession. Arensmeyer says. Small businesses can't perform that vital function for our economy if healthcare coverage doesn't become more affordable. Because small firms pay 18 percent more for health insurance than large companies pay, the yearly premium increases hit us hard. Small business wants to be at the table helping find practical, equitable answers to the healthcare cost dilemma.
