Anacostia Economic Development Corporation
The Anacostia Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) is a Community Development Corporation that was established in 1969 to meet the overall economic needs, and to improve the quality-of-life circumstances, of the District of Columbia residents. Over the past 45 years, AEDC and its subsidiaries have been at the forefront of small/minority business development, commercial revitalization, housing development, job creation and venture development to serve residents who live East of the Anacostia River and the District of Columbia at-large.
Since 2001 AEDC through the Business Development Center (AEDC-BDC), and its affiliation with the DC-SBDC Network, continues to devote significant resources to facilitate opportunities for small businesses to start, expand and grow. The AEDC/BDC has provided business counseling, sponsored training events and disseminated information to both start-up ventures and existing small businesses in support of providing growth opportunities to the small business community. Our certified, trained and skilled business consultants provide confidential one-on-one management assistance in a myriad of areas, at no cost to the client.
