Interactive call open to all small businesses; chance for entrepreneurs to learn about available healthcare coverage options for small businesses

Springfield, Mo.—Small business advocacy group Small Business Majority will host a webinar on Monday, March 23, 2015, outlining how to understand health insurance coverage for small businesses and employees. The presentation will provide an overview of the healthcare law, the new health insurance marketplaces, how to use your new health coverage, and other key health literacy components.

The free webinar, which is open to all small business owners, will feature Small Business Majority's Missouri-based Health Coverage Guide, Mary Overbey, who will discuss the topics most relevant to small businesses, including key health insurance terms, how health insurance works, how to interpret your health insurance plan and benefits, and how to use and keep your health insurance.

A question and answer period will follow the discussion. "New healthcare options, including the small business portal and the individual marketplace, provide additional opportunities for many entrepreneurs to obtain health insurance for their families and their employees," said Overbey. "Understanding these new options is a critical first step in helping small employers offer coverage. Interactive dialogues like these are a great way for small businesses to get the information they need to take advantage of and comply with key provisions of the healthcare law, and for us to get feedback on their thoughts and concerns."

The webinar will take place on Monday, March 23, 2015, from 10:00am - 11:00am (CST).
