Latavia Pineda manages Small Business Majority’s outreach and education efforts in Southern California. She develops relationships with small business owners, business organizations and policymakers throughout Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. Latavia is passionate about uplifting the voices of small business owners and advocating for policies and initiatives that promote economic development in the region. Previously, Latavia served as an intern with Small Business Majority’s Engagement Team, where she interviewed small business owners regarding their experiences with COVID-19 funding legislation and provided them with relevant resources.
Before joining Small Business Majority, Latavia worked at American University’s Legal Clinic, where she performed client intakes and connected them with local resources. Previously, Latavia interned at several organizations in Washington, D.C. and Colorado, including the Wilson Center’s Mexico Institute, El Centro AMISTAD and the Central American Resource Center. Latavia is certified in English/Spanish translation.
