Colorado Director Hunter Railey transitioning to lead the new Colorado Secure Savings Program; Colorado Outreach Manager Lindsey Vigoda promoted to direct the organization’s work in the state

(Denver) - Small Business Majority announced today that Colorado Director Hunter Railey is assuming a new role as the Director for the Colorado Secure Savings Program later this month and Colorado Outreach Manager Lindsey Vigoda is taking the helm to direct the organization’s work across the state.

Under Railey’s leadership, the organization has played a pivotal role in advocating for state legislation that will help level the playing field for small businesses on key issues such as retirement, healthcare, paid leave and access to capital. Most notably, after years of work on the issue, Small Business Majority co-led efforts that resulted in the passage of the Colorado Secure Savings Plan last year. The program will help small businesses that traditionally struggle to offer benefits access a state-administered retirement program at no-added cost to their businesses. As Railey begins his role overseeing this new program, Vigoda will build upon Small Business Majority’s work in Colorado by serving as a strong voice in the state capitol on small business policy solutions and by building strategic partnerships across the state.

“Hunter has been an invaluable leader and member of our team for three years. Thanks to both his and Lindsey’s stewardship and dedication, we are better positioned to serve the small business community in Colorado,” said John Arensmeyer, Founder and CEO of Small Business  Majority. “Their leadership has allowed us to establish a stronger voice on behalf of thousands of small business owners in the state, which has been particularly important during this public health crisis as we advocate for critical small business relief at the state capitol and in D.C. We look forward to continuing to work with Hunter in his new role, and we’re excited to continue to grow in Colorado under Lindsey’s direction.”

Vigoda has served as the organization’s Colorado Outreach Manager for the past two years, coordinating the organization’s outreach and education work in Colorado while supporting statewide policy efforts. She also co-chaired the Secure Our Saving Coalition on behalf of Small Business Majority, which spearheaded efforts to advance the Secure Saving Program. Prior to joining the organization, Lindsey worked on Colorado’s successful Proposition 111 campaign, which capped the interest rates of predatory payday loans in the state.
