The United States barely produces any cocoa, so his company imports it from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Uganda.

Though she wasn’t surveyed, 64-year-old San Diego resident Lisa Kaczmarczyk agrees that health care affordability should be a priority for the next administration. “Medical has been one of my top expenses every single month for years,” Kaczmarczyk said, even though she’s healthy and has no chronic conditions. Self-employed as an educational consultant, Kaczmarczyk purchases her health plan through Covered California, the state’s insurance marketplace.

A group of 20 small business owners from states like Alabama, Georgia, Texas and Illinois are slated to meet with nearly three dozen congressional offices on both sides of the Hill, including staff of Sens. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.), Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), Katie Britt (R-Ala.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Reps. Susie Lee (D-Nev.), Carol Miller (R-W.Va.) and Tony Gonzales (R-Texas).
