On February 25, the Small Business Tax Fairness Coalition (SBTF) sent a petition to Capitol Hill signed by nearly 250 small business owners from across the country which urges Congress to prioritize small business growth and protect access to healthcare through targeted tax reform. The petition outlines how Congress can support small businesses by reforming the 199A pass-through deduction, expanding the Child Tax Credit (CTC), extending the Affordable Care Act's Enhanced Premium Tax Credits, and adopting commonsense revenue measures, such as raising the corporate tax rate.

Small Business Majority has created a comprehensive state policy agenda to ensure entrepreneurship is at the center of a thriving and inclusive economy in New York. It’s critical that state lawmakers enact short- and long-term policies to support and empower entrepreneurs by guaranteeing their access to capital, an infrastructure that can support their ability to offer quality jobs, and their ability to compete on a level-playing field. To achieve these goals, policymakers should consider the policy proposals outlined in our New York state policy agenda.

On February 10, Small Business Majority Rachel Shanklin submitted comments to the Georgia Department of Community Health on the Georgia Pathways to Coverage 1115 Demonstration Waiver Extension.

On February 11, New York Director Lindsey Vigoda submitted testimony in support of the Fair Pricing Act, which would provide needed relief to thousands of New York small business owners and employees and save up to $1.5billion annually in healthcare spending in the state.  

On December 18, Small Business Majortiy Colorado Director Hunter Nelson submitted comments to the Colorado Division of Insurance in support DRAFT proposed regulation 4-2-XX: Colorado Option Standardized Health Benefit Plans in the Small Group Market.

On November 25, Small Business Majority Colorado Director submitted comments to the Prescription Drug Affordability Board in support of affordability reviews of prescription drugs in Colorado.

On November 8, Small Business Majority Colorado Director Hunter Nelson submitted comments to the Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI) in support of draft proposed new regulation 4-2-XX: Concerning Transparency in Coverage Reporting Requirements.
