The Agenda for Virginia’s entrepreneurs

Virginia is home to more than 880,000 small businesses, employing 1.6 million people and accounts for 99.5% of all businesses in the state. They play a significant role in our state economy and workforce. However, national economic uncertainty coupled with an especially fast-changing business landscape has required small businesses to adapt, yet again. As such, state governments must pass policies that address the new burdens that businesses are now facing.

For nearly two decades, AEO and its hundreds of member organizations have helped more than two million entrepreneurs support themselves and their families and contribute to their communities through business ownership.

National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce

The National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) is the only national not-for-profit advocacy organization dedicated to expanding the economic opportunities and advancements of LGBT business community. With more than 370 certified businesses and growing, over 130 corporate partners, and 51 local, state, and international affiliate chambers, NGLCC is the largest LGBT business development and economic advocacy organization in the world.

National Cybersecurity Society

The National Cybersecurity Society (NCSS) is committed to improving the online safety and security of the small business community through education, awareness, and advocacy. The organization’s goal is to enable and empower small businesses to obtain cybersecurity services; assist them in understanding their cyber risk; and advise on the type of protection needed. 

Youth Business USA

Youth Business USA is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to empowering young adult entrepreneurs (ages 18 to 29) from underserved communities. We launched our skysthelimit.org platform to connect our young entrepreneurs with the right business advisors & mentors nationwide.

CDC Small Business Finance

CDC Small Business Finance is a mission-driven economic development organization committed to providing access to capital and technical assistance to U.S. entrepreneurs and small businesses. Since 1978, CDC has responded to the needs of the underserved small business community with a variety of financing options to support their growth and success.

CNI Micro Finance Group

CNI Micro Finance Group is a mission driven non-profit lender that provide underserved businesses, start-ups and established businesses, with micro loans up to $50,000. We offer conventional type loans at affordable rates but with flexible and adaptable underwriting criteria necessary to meet the needs of small businesses. CNI Micro Finance Group is certified by the United States Treasury Department as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) with a goal to provide resources to underserved individuals. Additionally, CNI Micro Finance Group has been designated by the U.S.

Native American Contractors Association

The Native American Contractors Association (NACA) is a national native advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C., and represents tribal, Alaska native corporations, and native Hawaiian organizations across the country. NACA seeks to protect the economic self-sufficiency of America's indigenous people that is enhanced through the participation of its members in the SBA 8(a) program. NACA's members represent and provide benefits for nearly 700,000 tribal members, Alaska natives, and native Hawaiians.

Green For All

Green For All is a national organization working to build an inclusive green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty. Dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans through a clean energy economy, the organization works in collaboration with the business, government, labor, and grassroots communities to create and implement programs that increase quality jobs and opportunities in green industry – all while holding the most vulnerable people at the center of its agenda
