Across the country, incarceration will separate approximately 1.6 million children from their mothers this year. Join Small Business Majority, Alston + Bird and the Responsible Business Initiative for Justice (RBIJ) for a screening of the documentary "Apart" which follows the journey of three of these women. The screening will be followed by refreshments and a panel discussion on the impact of justice reform on the workforce, as well as time for conversations and networking with other attendees and panelists.

Doors open at 3:30. Event begins at 4:00. Refreshments will be provided.

In celebration of Women’s Small Business Month, the Economic Equity: Business Forum brings women together! Join Small Business Majority, the Women's Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project, Inc. (WEOP), and the Georgia Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center for a free virtual forum where we will explore the impact, progress, insights, and future for women in business.

The forum features a range of accomplished women from diverse industries in both the public and private sectors. Our goal for the forum is to bring women together to create awareness about the issues, discuss ways to break down challenges, and create opportunities for the BIWOC community. Each session will be formatted to encourage candid discussions about real issues and to engage thought-provoking conversations to tackle issues leading to possible strategies and solutions.

Hosted in partnership with the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, 9to5 Georgia and the Urban League of Greater Atlanta and sponsored by JP Morgan Chase & Co.
