Join Small Business Majority and the California Work & Family Coalition (CAWFC) to learn how our state's Paid Family Leave (PFL) Program benefits small business owners like you, your workforce and for an overview of employer responsibilities when an employee needs to take leave.
We will discuss how employees can participate in PFL, accrue paid sick days, how they can use the leave, and what reporting/tracking is required of employers. Additionally, will explore how PFL intersects with the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) and the federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Finally, we will discuss how small business owners can apply for a $2,000 grant to help cover costs associated with employees who take leave.
The California Work & Family Coalition organizes community trainings focused on our paid leave laws, including Paid Family Leave, State Disability Insurance (SDI), wage replacement, and job protection. Through education and advocacy, the Coalition is fighting to build a statewide movement dedicated to securing the rights, resources, and accommodations that all Californians need to care for themselves and their families.
