What

A year into the pandemic, small businesses across the south and southeast are continuing to see losses due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Small business owners of color have been particularly impacted after being largely left out of federal funding efforts during the first round of stimulus.

A coalition of community-based small business leaders and organizations invite you to join us to learn about the Southern Opportunity and Resilience (SOAR) Fund. SOAR is a new program built to support small businesses in the South and Southeast as they adapt, reopen safely, and recover from COVID-19. The loan fund will make affordable loans to businesses with 50 employees or fewer through community lenders across 15 states and Washington, D.C.

This webinar will also feature information about the federal relief programs you may be eligible for.

Topics include:

  • Overview of federal relief programs including, Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL), and Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF)
  • Overview of the SOAR Fund, the application process and steps you can take to prepare for the application
  • Tips to avoid predatory lenders

Businesses from the following states are eligible to apply for the SOAR Fund: AL, AR, DE, FL, GA, LA, MD, MS, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV and Washington, D.C.
