Former HHS Secretary/Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson to host panel that includes former Majority Leader Dick Gephardt

WHAT: Small Business Majority CEO John Arensmeyer will speak at the Summit Conversation Healthcare Forum sponsored by America's Agenda Healthcare Education Fund. The panel will be hosted by former HHS Secretary/Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson and will include former Majority Leader Dick Gephardt, Wisconsin Congressman Ron Kind and key business, labor and healthcare leaders.

John Arensmeyer has established Small Business Majority as the leading small business advocate for comprehensive healthcare reform. Why: The Summit will feature a discussion on the major drivers of health cost growth that are threatening the financial health of American businesses, wages and living standards of American workers, and restoration of robust growth of the US economy. The Summit will address the particular healthcare needs of America's 27 million small businesses.

The first Summit Conversation was held in January at the University of Miami and hosted by President Donna Shalala. Dr. William Peck, founder of the Center for Health Policy at Washington University, and former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt co-hosted the second Summit, held in March in St. Louis.
