Today, Small Business Majority submitted a letter of support for Amendment Item 4-14 #5-H, Tax Credit for PPE Purchased by Small Business and Other Organizations. This would create a tax credit for the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE) by small businesses, sole proprietors and other eligible organizations. The amendment also specifies that the credit is meant to include women-owned and minority-owned businesses, as these are groups that are often left behind by the tax code.

Small Business Majority writes in support of SB 977, which would give the Attorney General more authority to counter the anti-competitive effects of healthcare consolidation that could increase the cost of healthcare and limit the access to it. This issue is of particular concern to our small businesses that are struggling with healthcare costs.

Small Business Majority wrote to State Senator Richard Pan in support of SB 852, which would create the Office of Drug Contracting and Manufacturing in order to increase access to, and reduce the cost of, generic medications. We believe this is a key measure to controlling healthcare costs and improving access and affordability for consumers, including small business owners and their employees.
