Ohio Healthcare Expert and Small Business Owners Available to Give Small Business Perspective on Affordable Care Act Repeal

For Immediate Release:
Thursday, January 5, 2017

Michaela Hahn Burriss, Ohio Outreach Manager for Small Business Majority, is available to speak to media about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and how it has helped small business owners. Small business owners across the state are also available to share their personal ACA success stories.

Who: Small business and economic expert Michaela Hahn Burriss, Ohio Outreach Manager for Small Business Majority, is available to speak to media about the ways in which small employers have benefited from the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

“Ohio’s small business owners have benefited substantially from the ACA,” said Hahn Burriss. “Thanks to the healthcare law, insurance rates have stabilized and small business owners can more easily offer strong health benefits to their employees. When employees have better benefits, it allows them to be more productive and makes it more likely that they will remain with their employer for a longer period of time, which is good for any business owner’s bottom line. If the ACA is repealed, however, the insurance market will plunge into chaos for no reason other than a handful of lawmakers who are eager to score political points.”

When: Michaela Hahn Burriss is available for interviews this week and next. Ohio small business owners are also available for interviews.
